Crave Bakery’s Recommended Gluten Free Baking Aids

Following is a list of our recommended gluten free baking aids (and their descriptions) from the recipes in our 10th Anniversary Crave Bakery Gluten Free Cookbook. We have chosen our favorite, high quality brands because these manufacturers have clearly stated Gluten-Free in their product descriptions or company info.* Hopefully, this list saves you a little work!

Crave Bakery Recommends Hains Featherweight Baking Powder

  • Xanthan Gum helps to replace gluten’s stickiness. If you have a corn allergy, make sure your xanthan gum is corn-free such as the one from Bob’s Red Mill.

Crave Bakery Recommends Bobs Red Mill Xanthan Gum

  • We prefer Sea Salt for its purity. If you are using salt in frosting, it’s best to use a fine-grained version such as Selina Naturally Fine Ground Celtic to make sure you get a nice, smooth finish.
