Gluten Free Baking Tip of the Day – Oven Temperature

October 10, 2013

Daily tips for your gluten free baking adventure!

Today’s Tip:

  • If you have an oven thermometer, use it! Home ovens often aren’t calibrated properly and can give you an unexpected result. If you see that your oven is 375 degrees when you set it to 350, you then know that your oven is running 25 degrees hot. You can compensate for that by setting it 25 degrees lower each time. (And for the more serious bakers, you now know that your oven should be recalibrated.)
